Kara was welcomed to the Nelson Architects team in March 2022 as our Administrative Assistant/Production Designer.
She grew up in central Montana and went to Helena College of Technology for Medical Administrative. Prior to joining Nelson Architects she spent 12½ years as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Maintenance and Construction to one on the largest regional hospitals in the state.
She has been involved with over a dozen medical projects including Benefis South Tower Construction & The Senior Living Cottages. During her time working in medical maintenance and construction projects, she also learned construction/design programs, how to maintain and catalog construction documents, construction processes, and required construction closeout procedures while working on a multitude of projects throughout the hospital.
Kara has many years of customer service experience, as well as extensive organizational skills to help project run smoothly and efficiently.
Kara has worked in tandem with Nelson Architects for several years on the medical care side of projects and has been a wonderful asset. She also has obtained 6 years’ experience bookkeeping and assisting with her husband’s concrete business.
She is a welcomed addition to the Nelson team and is eager to continue to grow.
