Challenge

The project entails the remodel of the southern half of an old office building to serve as the centralized hub for a new call center for Benefis Health Systems. The layout accounted for staff to double in size and still function as on day 1. This layout provides management to observe staff efficiencies from anywhere on the floor. Also included in this space is the use for training rooms, break out spaces, a staff break room and design treatments that greatly reduce the noise usually associated with a call center.

The original building was divided into two spaces. The north most part of the building would be become occupied by offices utilizing the main entrance and parking lot. Included in this project was the creation of additional welcoming entries around the building, a new parking lot with site accessibility, a patio to soften the exterior look of the building and provide space for both tenants of the building. Part of this remodel also included the replacement of all HVAC and lighting throughout the building including the currently occupied northern half of the structure
