Challenge
Central Montana Medical Center (CMMC) is ready to expand to meet the needs of a growing, regional market. They are a magnet for numerous rural communities in eastern Montana who depend on them.
As a first step, they hired our firm to complete a facility-wide Master Plan to evaluate the best renovation strategies for long-term growth in an expanding market. Master Planning and initial designs are currently underway on this 1977 medical center and include design options, estimated budgets, timelines, and project phasing.
Patient rooms are being remodeled into single rooms with private baths, lending a hospitality model of healthcare to CMMC. We are updating the radiology department to offer interventional radiology, a less invasive form of diagnostic imaging.
The helicopter pad is being relocated to provide more immediate as well as private access to the ER. The new ambulance garage will provide CMMC with an on-campus conference room that doubles as a training center for EMTs and other first-responders. A durable medical equipment retail sales spaces is being added to serve their market.
The women’s department will provide the latest in radiology and screening, and obstetrics will include beautiful, modern birthing suites.
