Challenge
GFC MSU Dental Clinic is a 15000 SF addition and remodel to Great Falls College’s main campus that includes a new east entrance, reception, student commons, faculty offices, a 13 student dental lab, and a 25 operatory clinic with integrated radiology rooms and the ability to expand to 30 operatories for future growth.
The goal of the project was to create a new facility for the expanding dental assisting and dental hygiene programs that celebrated the programs and provided efficient spatial planning to enhance the clinics ability for instructional learning, while providing privacy and comfort for the program patients.
Students and Dental Clinic faculty were consulted and observed in each independent environment of the existing program to ensure a complete understanding of the needs, problems, solutions and best practices of the existing clinic were to be integrated and solved in the new clinic.
The Great Falls College Dental Clinic creates an energetic and encouraging learning environment that celebrates the dental program with ample natural light, calm natural colors, and the warm accent of natural Montana wood. The main entrance stands proudly facing the morning sun and invites all students, visitors and staff to a friendly, safe, and inspiring community and campus.
