Challenge
The HUB international – Great Falls branch is a brand-new insurance office building. Located just off the Missouri River this 10,200 sqft building provides stunning views. The office layout provides two wings with a central core. Each wings serves houses the specific departments that require daily interaction with each other. Each wing has the offices located at the perimeter providing great view. The interior is open to the structure above and bring in light through the clerestory and contains depart work spaces, personal conference rooms, and printer/supply areas. The Center Core serves as the public show space. The core was designed to completely open up to turn into one large entertaining space for clients that also be partitioned out into the reception, waiting area, large conference room, and break room. One obstacle the design team had to overcome was the updated total budget in the middle of construction. Working with the contractor and owner we were able to pivot design and meet the project budget. The project team was able to reduce the project cost by around $350,000 bringing the final construction budget to $3,600,000.
