Challenge
Nelson Architects partnered with John Barnes to help design Electric City Hospitality’s newest project: Street Burgers. It is a single-level existing restaurant space located on 10th Avenue South. Its prime location provides the ability to attract Great Falls locals, students from the University of Providence, medical staff from both Benefis and Great Falls Clinic, MAFB personnel, and those travelling through our city. Street Burgers brings a new type of casual dining to the community by providing a combination of Montana ranch aesthetic and street art style.
The overarching goal of the project was to deliver a design that maintained the owners’ current Tracy’s Diner patrons and created connections the owners valued most. These values included commitment to community growth, maintaining personal relationships, and continuing to serve quality foods, drinks, services and products. Our scope of work consisted of an interior design remodel. The design created the consistent aesthetic needed to elevate the brand, and to assist in the future franchising of the restaurant. This was done predominately through: reupholstering booth seating, specification and placement of lighting, selection and placement of wall finishes, coordinating with the custom wall art artist, and proposing new furnishings. The final product was a space that is fun, artistically elevating, and inviting to all.
